Contact with nature is an extremely important element supporting the harmonious development of children.

When working in offices, traveling by car, or using underground garages, it often happens that we do not feel the weather outside. And we have less and less time for walks in nature. For us, nature is an element of the world without which we cannot imagine functioning, and that is why we want to enjoy it, surround it and take care of it.

Our school is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city and car exhaust, we border a forest that we want to use continuously throughout the year. We know how important the sun is for the functioning of the body, which is why we want all children to spend a lot of time outdoors every day. When there is a lack of sun in winter, we ensured that the lighting had the right intensity, color and polarization to mimic sunlight as closely as possible, promoting well-being and thus supporting learning.

Walking barefoot has a beneficial effect not only on the proper development and posture of our children, but also on learning and behavior, which was recently confirmed by a large international study. We have become a school where students do not use changeable footwear, and a high level of comfort has been maintained thanks to the installation of underfloor heating throughout the school.

Ecology

Our planet requires a conscious approach to ecology.

In our opinion, truly caring for our planet, the animals and plants living around us, and the quality of our water goes beyond sorting waste and collecting plastic bottle caps. Our planet requires a conscious approach to ecology, and our school, in addition to education, will participate in many environmental protection projects. In our opinion, this is no longer a choice, but a necessity and the shaping of awareness.

Healthy diet

Awareness that we are what we eat and what consequences our nutritional decisions have.

Unfortunately, competition between food producers increasingly leads to the choice of the most economical or preventive solutions, such as pesticides, antibiotics, preservatives, phosphates and others, which are intended to make products more attractive or extend their shelf life. These changes do not necessarily mean improved product quality.

Another aspect is the presence of sugar in many products we reach for on store shelves. At our school, students learn how to choose products consciously, how to read labels, and how to take care of a balanced diet and their own health. Students cannot bring sweets or sweetened drinks to school. We ensure constant access to fresh vegetables, fruit and water.

Luck

We live in a world where consumerism reigns supreme.

No one is surprised anymore by the attitude of life that relies on achieving happiness through purchasing items and using many commercial services. The acquisition of material items in this case is intended to improve social status and is intended to be an indicator of the quality of life. Moreover, in a world focused on the “self” and satisfying only one’s own needs, loneliness and isolation appear, and there is a lack of good emotions, selfless relationships with others, and the joy of helping others.

In our school, we emphasize that happiness should be sought elsewhere: in relationships, self-development, harmony and through the passion for creation and discovery.

Authentic relationships

We are, in a sense, condemned to the all-encompassing social media and technology that is also pouring into our children's classrooms.

On the other hand, neurobiology studies periodically confirm that contact with another person via electronic transmission (both video and audio) does not stimulate the same structures in the brain as real physical contact with peers and a teacher.

We understand that phones can be useful on the way to and from school, but we don’t see a place for them in our school during lessons and breaks (there is a phone in the office if needed). Upon entering the school premises, students leave their mobile phones in a designated place and collect them after classes. We are aware that in today’s world it is difficult to function without a computer, so we try to use them wisely.

Internationality

With the development of the modern world, the phenomenon of migration is becoming more and more frequent and more and more natural.

Distance and lack of knowledge of a foreign language are no longer an obstacle to taking up work anywhere in the world. For this reason, the growing number of foreigners and returnees in Polish schools should no longer surprise anyone. We are ready to accept students from other countries to our school. Through an individual approach to each student, discrepancies resulting from learning in a different system do not pose a problem for us.

We have ensured an appropriate level of English language proficiency among our teachers and we care for the development of language skills of our students. Multicultural education also provides a unique opportunity to learn tolerance, acceptance, and not succumbing to stereotypes. This is shaping an open, multicultural society while respecting the diversity and uniqueness of national, cultural, ethnic, and religious traditions. We want our graduates to be conscious citizens of the world.
